Serengeti To Zanzibar Safari

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport, you will be met by your driver and transferred to Accommodation. Settle into your accommodation, ready to start your safari proper in the next morning. If time allows, a complimentary town tour to explore Arusha town and visit a local market can be arranged.

Dinner & Overnight: Ilboru Safari Lodge/Gran Melia Arusha.

After breakfast, you will start your journey drive to Tarangire National Park approximately 120 km and 2.5 – 3 hours from Arusha. This lovely park is famously known as the elephant paradise. ancient baobab trees and highest number of breeding bird species especially during the dry season. Tarangire National Park is also packed with wildlife such as big cats like lions, cheetahs and leopards, but also the seldom seen Kudu, Oryx and Gerenuk. If you are lucky, you can even spot the tree-climbing python. The Tarangire River draws huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, as well as predators who prey upon them. In the afternoon you will have a picnic Lunch at the park and continue enjoying your afternoon Game drive.

Dinner and overnight: Maramboi Tented Camp

After breakfast you set off towards Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. You will drive through the villages and the rice farms around Mayoka village you will enter the park through Iyambi entrance gate which is at the bottom entry gate, and you will do your game drive all the way to the top (main gate) This park is known for its huge soda lake filled with pink-hued flamingos, large population of baboons, Elephants that can come very close to your car, incredible birdlife and breathtaking views. You can see giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, zebras, flamingos and if you are lucky, you may spot a tree-climbing lion. After game drive you will drive to Karatu Town for dinner and overnight.

Dinner and Overnight: Pamoja Olea Farm Lodge/ Marera Valley View

After an early breakfast in the morning, you will drive to lake Eyasi. This day will be full of culture, with interesting encounters with local tribes. This is an untouched and scenically beautiful area where you can get a real insight into the way of life of the rural tribes like the Datoga and Hadzabe Bushmen. The Datoga are farmers and Blacksmith’s who make iron knives and spears. The Hadzabe hunt on wild animals with bow and arrows, eating roots, honey and wild fruits. Visit their habitat and experience their culture first hand. Later you will return to your lodge for a lunch. After lunch you will do a guided coffee tour in the nearby Shangrila farm. Coffee is one of the main cash crops in Tanzania and here you get a detailed information about coffee growing. This is the best place for you to buy your arabica coffee if you want some. You will then return to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Dinner and Overnight: Marera Valley View

Today you set off towards to Ngorongoro Crater for a beautiful game drive. It shelters close to 30,000 animals including the Big Five. The crater teems with zebras, buffaloes, lions, wildebeest, warthogs, baboons, elephants, flamingos, ostriches, hippos, cheetahs and a small population of the rare black rhino. The beautiful colors and drifting clouds make the crater almost surreal. Due to its exceptional natural beauty, the Ngorongoro Crater has been recognized as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. After your picnic lunch and final game viewing in the crater, proceed to central Serengeti with game drives en route. Dinner and Overnight at your lodge or Camp in central Serengeti.

Dinner & Overnight: Into Wild Africa/Signature Serengeti Luxury Camp.

Today you will spend a Full day Game drive exploring Central Serengeti. Serengeti offers unmatched wildlife experiences, including the iconic Great migration, where over 1.5 million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebras, gazelles and elands move in search of water and grazing. It also boasts the highest concentration of large carnivores, including lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas. As well as over 28 herbivore species such as buffalo, hippos and zebras. With more than 540 bird species, including many migratory ones, it’s a paradise for birdwatchers.

Another day of morning and afternoon game viewing in the Serengeti. With so many wildebeest, gazelles and zebras present it is no wonder the Serengeti is also home to 4,000 lions and 1,000 leopards. Apart from the Big Five the Serengeti boasts the cheetah, jackal, hyena, serval, aardvark, pangolin, porcupine, crocodiles, giraffe, python, black mamba, spitting cobra, ostrich, martial eagle, lovebirds and vultures, just to name a few. Explore the Serengeti for the last time during a morning game drive with picnic lunch. You continue your journey to Seronera Airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival on the tropical island Zanzibar, you will be transferred to an accommodation, where you can rest and enjoy dinner and the beautiful views over the garden and blue Indian Ocean.

Relax at the beautiful Nungwi Beach. This is one of the best beaches on the island has a relaxed atmosphere with beautiful white sandy beaches and turquoise water that gently rolls onto the beach. You can spend the entire day at the beach, since the beaches in this northern part of the island are not as tidal. If you like to be more active, the resort organizes lots of activities like village walks, scuba diving and snorkeling. You can book and pay these activities directly. All meals and overnight will be at your accommodation.

After breakfast, you drive to Stone town, where you go on a spice tour. After this you visit the lively Stone Town, which is the cultural and historical heart of Zanzibar. Stone Town is a melting pot of Arab, Persian, Indian and European cultures which makes Stone Town so unique. In the late afternoon you return to your accommodation for Dinner & Overnight.

Spend your day at leisure. Enjoy laid back beach life or sail towards the golden sunset on a traditional sailing boat while you spot pods of dolphins. Another option is to visit the nature reserve for turtles in Nungwi, where you can feed the turtles and even swim with them. This lovely fishing village has also a number of good bars. All meals and overnight will be at hotel on all-inclusive basis.

You will wake up and have a leisurely breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast depending on your flight time, you can relax on the beach or explore the island a little bit more. Then your private driver will arrive in time to transfer you to Zanzibar international Airport for your flight home.
