Great Migration Adventure

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport, you will be met by your driver and transferred to Accommodation. Settle into your accommodation, ready to start your safari proper in the next morning. If time allows, a complimentary town tour to explore Arusha town and visit a local market can be arranged.

Overnight: Ilboru Safari Lodge/Gran Melia Arusha.

After breakfast, you will start your journey drive to Tarangire National Park approximately 120 km and 2.5 – 3 hours from Arusha. This lovely park is famously known as the elephant paradise. ancient baobab trees and highest number of breeding bird species especially during the dry season. Tarangire National Park is also packed with wildlife such as big cats like lions, cheetahs and leopards, but also the seldom seen Kudu, Oryx and Gerenuk. If you are lucky, you can even spot the tree-climbing python. The Tarangire River draws huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, as well as predators who prey upon them. In the afternoon you will have a picnic Lunch at the park and continue enjoying your afternoon Game drive.

Dinner and overnight: Marera Valley View/Farms of Dreams Lodge

After breakfast, you will depart from the accommodation heading towards Central of Serengeti national Park approximately 4-6 hours’ drive via Ngorongoro highlands, Enjoy stunning view along the way to the endless plain of Serengeti.

Dinner & Overnight: Into Wild Africa/Serengeti Sametu Camp

On the northern part of Serengeti there is a high possibility of witnessing the great wildebeest and zebras’ migration in search of water and grazing crossing the Mara River full of crocodiles. A nature wonder that occurs every year between July and October.

Today you will spend a Full day Game drive exploring Central Serengeti. Serengeti offers unmatched wildlife experiences, including the iconic Great migration, where over 1.5 million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebras, gazelles and elands move in search of water and grazing. It also boasts the highest concentration of large carnivores, including lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas. As well as over 28 herbivore species such as buffalo, hippos and zebras. With more than 540 bird species, including many migratory ones, it’s a paradise for birdwatchers.

Optional Activity: Early morning Hot Air Balloon Safari followed by a bush breakfast in the Serengeti plains (Available at an additional Cost).

Dinner & Overnight: Into Wild Africa/Serengeti Sametu Camp.

Earl breakfast and drive to Ngorongoro crater where you will have a full day game drive. The Ngorongoro caldera is the largest unbroken, unflooded caldera in the world with a diameter approximately 20 kilometers and a depth of 600 meters. Expect to see animals such as Black rhinos, buffalo, zebras, pride of lions, leopard, cheetahs, hyenas and gazelles plus flamingo in Lake Magadi. On the late evening you will be transferred to Karatu town for rest.

Dinner & Overnight: Eileen’s Tree Inn/Marera Valley View

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive. In the afternoon, your driver will set and prepare a table for a full, hot lunch (soup, bread rolls, main dish, and fruit salad) followed by a glass of wine, tea, or coffee. After lunch, you continue with the game drive until the evening when you drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favored haunt of Manyara legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively-tusked elephants.

The last day of your trip depending on your flight time, you can relax in the lodge a bit longer before heading to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home.
